Rae-Yen Song (b. Edinburgh, 1993) is based in Glasgow and holds a BA(Hons) in Sculpture and Environmental Art from Glasgow School of Art (2014). Currently in 2024, Song’s collated research exhibition and live programme ‘life-bestowing cadaverous soooooooooooooooooot,’ takes place at CCA Glasgow, UK. Song’s solo exhibitions include: ‘☰pa●○pa☴,’ Aspex Portsmouth, UK (2023); ‘WORMB,’ Quench Gallery, Margate, UK (duo presentation with Rosie Vera, 2022); ‘▷▥◉▻,’ Dundee Contemporary Arts, UK (2021); and ‘✵may-may songuu✵,’ esea contemporary, Manchester, UK (2020). Selected commissions include: ‘wūûūwūûū,’ LUX Scotland & BBC Scotland (2021); ‘songdynasty.life,’ Edinburgh Art Festival & Hunterian Art Gallery (2020 - ongoing).
