Lauriston Park, Edinburgh, c.2098

Springtime, and life goes on.

Confusion, violence and tragedy have given way to order, beauty and the potential for healing and regrowth.

Relics and scars remain, whispering broken tales of a lost society's final days.

Sandstone and dust. Torn metal and tarmac, and the musk of damp timber and petrichor. Somewhere a blackbird sings his familiar song.

This is the first of a series which, through a variety of mediums and techniques, and ranging scales and perspectives, will explore this eerie place.

Balsa wood, clay, foam, metal, gathered materials and stabilized plants make up these vivid miniature snapshots of a post-human Edinburgh, capturing moments in time spanning centuries, as an ancient planet repairs itself and carries on.
