My practice is connected to nature and the common lands that I have grown up around. Using wild flora as visual metaphors for my matrilineality alongside the notion of what it is to be common, what it is to belong – hiraeth – and the plant lore shared by women.

These ideas culminate as objects and texts; conversations of kinship, sisterhood, sameness.

Common Study 24 is a nod to my childhood and matrilineality; a posy of overlooked paper daisies that we all might have picked and chained as children. Seemingly gathered from beloved places and spaces in moments lost to time, silently saying the things we hold within, making as a tool for remembering.
