Alison Edward

The artist - I  like drawing birds, I feel happy when drawing and relaxed. I like using coloured pencil and paint sometimes. It feels better when my work is in an exhibition.

Edward’s life-long affinity with animals means they are a regular and rich subject matter in her work. Edward enjoys over-layering coloured pencils to create a vibrant and dense colour surface and builds meditative pattern through the repeat use of her leaf iconography.

Edward accesses the Garvald Artists supported studio to create their work and has exhibited widely.
